Digital Open Forest data

The Swedish Forest Agency’s deliver open geodata with the ambition to provide digital knowledge resources and tools that enable us to increasingly promote development to all the values ​​of the forest - economic, environmental, and climate-related – with considerations to risks. We also aim to contribute to the digitalisation of both the forestry sector and society.

We provide data in the following categories:

  • Skogens Pärlor/Forest values - Contains valuable forest environments and cultural heritage sites in Swedish forests
  • Skogliga grunddata/Forest attribute map- Contains maps describing forests and ground
  • Skador skog/Forest damage- Contains data and map services where you can, among other things, see where there is the greatest risk of bark beetle attacks and where there has been forest fires.

Download data

Data can be downloaded through our website and are available by FTP or clickable links together with product descriptions. The data can also be used through geodata services, or by map applications by using a login service (for forest owners) or an open interface. The use of REST services requires an account.
