Guidelines - drainage and riparian forests
During the WAMBAF project guidelines for drainage systems and riparian forests are being prepared.
Now the final drafts for the guidelines circulate among forest enterprises, authorities and others for comments. The main aim of these guidelines is to give background information and an overview of available water protection measures to reduce the export of suspended solids, nitrogen, phosphorus, and mercury within the Baltic Sea Region.
We hope that these guidelines may serve as an inspiration in the daily work of forest and environment managers, administrators, policy makers and other stakeholders. It can also be a basis for revision of policies and legislation in the Baltic Sea Region.
