Forecast: Lower felling in 2024

This year's felling in Swedish forests is expected to be 2 million cubic meters lower in comparison to 2023, according to a new forecast from the Swedish Forest Agency.

A decrease in notified felling in August

The latest statistics from the Swedish Forest Agency show that the area notified for felling in August decreased 27 percent, compared to August 2023. The area regarding applications for permits for final felling in montane forests increased, compared to the same month last year.
