A decrease in notified felling in August

The latest statistics from the Swedish Forest Agency show that the area notified for felling in August decreased 27 percent, compared to August 2023. The area regarding applications for permits for final felling in montane forests increased, compared to the same month last year.

Forest fertilization remained low in 2023

Forest fertilization was carried out on almost 15 000 hectares in 2023, a slight increase from the sharp decline in 2022 but still at a historically low level. This is shown by a survey from the Swedish Forest Agency.
