                        • An increase in notified felling in December

                          The latest statistics from the Swedish Forest Agency show that the area notified or applied for felling in December 2024 increased 42 percent, compared to December 2023. The area regarding applications for permits for final felling in montane forests increased eight fold, compared to the December 2023.

                          The Swedish Forest Agency's latest inventory of known cultural heritage sites shows that the proportion damaged during regeneration felling remains at an unchanged level. Compared to 2012 when the inventories started, the proportion of damaged cultural heritage sites has decreased, but the proportion of serious damage is just as large.

                          The latest statistics from the Swedish Forest Agency show that the area notified or applied for felling in November increased 2 percent, compared to November 2023. The area regarding applications for permits for final felling in montane forests increased 4 percent, compared to the same month last year.
