Stock volumes of pulpwood during the third quarter

Stocks of pulpwood amounted to 4.3 million m³ (cubic metre solid volume excl. bark) in the third quarter of 2012. The volumes are 11 percent lower compared to second quarter of 2012 but higher by 6 percent when compared to the same quarter in 2011.
Downturn of roundwood exports and weak upswing for imports

During January-August 2012 the export volume decreased for both sawlogs (-16%) and pulpwood (-29%) compared with the same period 2011. The corresponding figures in 2012 were an increase of imports by 25% and 4% respectively.
