Forest Industry Production

The total production of the Swedish forest products industry during 2011 was as follows:

• 16.6 million m³ (preliminary figures) sawn goods of coniferous
• 11.9 million metric tons’ wood pulp, of which 7.4 million was sulphate pulp, 3.6 million mechanical pulp, 0.6 million sulphite pulp and 0.3 million semi-chemical pulp
• 3.7 million metric tons’ market pulp (i.e. for sale to other producers)
• 11.3 million metric tons’ paper and paperboard, of which 2.1 million was newsprint, 3.3 million fine printing and writing paper, and 5.8 million other types of paper and paperboard
